Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum company size required?

No fixed minimum size. However, bidders must demonstrate financial capacity and relevant experience to fulfill contract requirements. SMEs are encouraged to participate and may form consortiums.

Can international companies participate without a local agent?

Most tenders require an accredited GPPDA agent to facilitate documentation and compliance. For specialized tenders, direct participation may be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

Is the registration fee refundable if my bid is unsuccessful?

YES. The tender registration fee ($3,850) is 100% refundable within three (3) business days for companies that are formally disqualified and do not meet nomination criteria for contract award.

How long does the evaluation take?

Typically 14–21 business days after submission deadline. Complex tenders may take up to 30 days. All bidders receive formal notification of results.

Can I modify my bid after submission?

Modifications are permitted only before the submission deadline via written request. No changes allowed after deadline; withdrawal may affect bid security.

Are there preferences for local Ghanaian companies?

Some tenders include local content preferences as stated in the tender documents. International firms are encouraged to partner with local entities or include local value-addition.

How do I verify an authorized GPPDA agent?

Contact GPPDA directly via email at xxxx@gppda.org to request the official list of accredited agents. Never engage with unverified intermediaries.
